Téi vum Séi

Aromatic herbs have been grown in the Haute-Sûre Nature Park since 1992. The ‘Kraidergenossenschaft Naturpark Uewersauer’ was founded in 1993 as part of a LEADER initiative, and since then this cooperative has been involved in growing, processing and marketing aromatic and medicinal herbs. Most of the plants used in the ‘Téi vum Séi’ products are grown on the cooperative members’ own fields, while others grow wild.

Compliance with directives on the protection of nature and the environment requires cultivation to be free from chemical fertilisers and plant protection products. The herbs are harvested by hand or by machine and then transported to the herbal tea factory in Schleif, where they are quickly and carefully dried at low temperatures in modern technical facilities, to preserve their natural components and colour.

Téi vum Séi’ products are now available throughout Luxembourg, including at the “Buttik vum Séi” sales outlet in Heiderscheid, in the shop of the Maison du Parc Naturel de la Haute-Sûre, in many Cactus supermarkets, in hotels, cafés and restaurants, and in pharmacies.
